Peoples’ Cafe

Peoples’ Café at the Memories of El Monte Community Arts Space is a multifaceted community hub addressing food insecurity and providing educational resources in El Monte and the San Gabriel Valley.  Prioritizing economic and environmental justice, this project focuses on developing sustainable cooperative models in the workforce, reintroducing Native foods to combat hunger, and promoting healthy eating through education and advocacy. We function as a hybrid space in which we host biweekly food distributions, clothing swaps, reading circles, music lessons, and so much more.
